THE CHOIRMASTER

Picture

A musician by blood and by heart, Bryan, though relatively young, has a vast experience as a chorister, music teacher, and performer. Hailing from a family of accomplished musicians, he was given formal music training as early as four years old. Despite his intensive musical exposure, he still enjoys learning new things about music and never gets tired in honing his skills as a musician. As a matter of fact, he is a recital away from finishing his Master's Degree in Music major in Choral Conducting.

As conductor of The Intervoices Chorale, Bryan elevated the choir's status from a regular singing group to a versatile choir with the repertoire ranging from renaissance music up to 21st century music. Through God's guidance, the group was able to hold concerts and perform venues such as Cultural Center of the Philippines, Philam Life Theatre, Fleur de Lise Theater, Philippine International Convention Center, GSIS Museum of Art, Rizal Park and FEU Auditorium.

In his pursuits to enhance his skill on choral conducting, Bryan has participated several Master Classes of world-renown conductors and composers like Vytautus Miskinis, Dr. Masashi Kishimoto, and Peter Von Weidhart. For the past four years, he has been under the tutelage of Maestro Eudenice Palaruan, an acclaimed composer and music educator from Berliner Kirchenmusikchule, Germany. Notably, Maestro Palaruan's compositions are performed all over the world by the most esteemed choirs.

He has led one of the most respected choir established in the countr, the San Miguel Master Chorale. Bryan was also mentored by distinct conductors namely Dr. Masashi Kishimoto of Asian Youth Choir; Prof. Edgardo Manguiat, founder/conductor of the UP Singing Ambassadors; Dr. Raul Navarro, Head/Conducting Dept. UP College of Music; Anna Abeleda-Piquero, conductor of the UE Chorale and Prof. Lester Delgado, CEU College of Music.

As a chorister, Bryan sang with the Asian Youth Choir, UP Singing Ambassadors, PUP Bagong Himig, and Musikappelle. As a conductor, he had stints in leading the Department of Tourism Chorale, Baesa SDA Church Choir, Fort Bonifacio SDA Choir and The Intervoices Chorale. His passion to conducting drove him to join the Philippine Choral Director's Association.
